Ski jump

First stop on our way to Trondheim. The ski jump and stadium for the Nordic/biathlon finish.
No one volunteered to try the ski jump. Eviatar wondered aloud why anyone would want to ski jump.

Hanging out before dinner.

Dorms

The dorms at Trondertun. Our kids are staying in two cabins at a neighboring folk school.

Melhus church

The Lutheran church in Melhus.

Crossing

I haven't learned very much Norwegian yet but sometimes you can intuit meaning just from signs. Like this one. "Dick Tracy crossing"...obviously!!

Farts

Juvenile humor, I know, but I chuckle every time we drive home past this sign. "Speed bumps" essentially, I believe.

Sites

The hood

The kids are rehearsing today. Terry and I are still trying to deal with jet lag. So we slept in and then I went for a walk in our neighborhood. It is warmer today and the snow has stopped. Totally gorgeous here!
We will meet up with everyone later for a walking tour of Trondheim led by Ronald.
I saw many barns like this. There is a real appreciation for agricultural land and heritage here.

Host

Terry and I are staying at the home of the Trondertun director, Ronald, and his wife, Berit. They have been incredibly generous to share their beautiful home (and French press coffee pot) with us. They live in the hills above Melhus.
